About Jason Threadgold Funeral Director

Jason Threadgold Funeral Director is Scunthorpe, Barton, Brigg, Scartho and Caistor's only independently-owned funeral home with no other partners. Run by us, Jason and Nichola Threadgold, a husband and wife team who have grown up locally and know both the area and the community well.

Together, we have over 40 years’ experience working in funeral services, assisting North & North East Lincolnshire families with all aspects of bereavement, including funeral planning, memorials, advice, support and much more.

With a shared desire to continue providing local families with the bereavement care and attention they deserve, we felt the need to open a family-run funeral home. Our Scunthorpe funeral home opened in September 2014, with funeral homes opening in Barton in 2017, Brigg in 2022, Scartho in 2023 and most recently in Caistor in January 2024.

Community is at the heart of what we do and we not only help grieving families, we work a lot with the wider local community with a range of sponsorships and charity work, from hospices to local rising sport stars. We are a family business from the area and therefore love it when we can give back and support others locally. It is an important part of who we are. 

Our vision for the future is to set not only the gold standard but the Threadgold standard. To never follow, but always to lead. To be recognized as the best of the best in the funeral profession for both quality service and customer experience.

Our mission as Funeral Home providers, we continue to serve our communities 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, to the very highest standards, and to never ever compromise on quality and care. This is not restricted to only those who have passed away, but to their families and friends alike. To bring together and train the very best people who are dedicated and committed to offering the same exacting standards each and every time.

We currently have 19 employees working with us and are proud of the fabulous company culture we have. We would not be able to offer the service we do, without each and every one of our team. Everything we do is about care and our talented, highly trained and friendly team are always here to help and offer an unrivalled service. Providing all our customers with choices to match your budget, and ensuring you feel comfortable throughout the process. A funeral director is also assigned to each case so that you will have the same friendly face with you though the entire journey.

Walking into a funeral directors can be overwhelming, especially for the first time. That is why our team are here to help our customers and reassure them. To take away the burden and stress of funeral planning and help in whichever way we can, going above and beyond to ensure our customers’ get the personal and unique funeral service their loved ones deserve.
